About

I graduated from Carleton College with a Bachelor of Arts in biology. While preparing to apply for medical school, I realized that my interests more closely aligned with a career as a physician assistant (PA). Since changing my focus towards PA programs, which I feel is a much better fit for me, I am now working as a certified nursing assistant. I am seeking shadowing and volunteering opportunities.

I am also passionate about public health, immunology, and supporting causes and organizations that aid low-income, first-generation students, Asian-American, and immigrant communities.

Experience

Currently, I work as a certified nursing assistant (CNA-2) in the medical unit of a hospital. Previously, I worked as a CNA in a nursing and rehab facility. I have learned a lot from these rewarding experiences, and I hope to take the lessons I have learned with me as I continue my career in healthcare.

I have previously worked with TRIO Student Support Services as a peer leader and intern at Carleton College. TRIO Student Support Services is a program supporting students who identify as low-income, first-generation, or who have a documented disability. I enjoyed being able to support students who came from
similar low-income and first-generation backgrounds, promote socio-economic awareness, and help build a community amongst other TRIO students on campus.

Interests

Outside of work, I enjoy volunteering at my local library and spending time with my friends and family.

I also enjoy watching horror movies, animations, and MCU movies. Throughout high school and college, I also was a member of a traditional Vietnamese dance group and Korean pop dance club.
